I don't sound like a positive person. No mention of the site. Actually, it turns out I got a good mention in the print edition. I had only looked at the online version when I originally posted this.

Pictures Added
I posted a bunch of pictures to Flickr today. I've been scouting out maps for Government Canyon and for the various rides from Bulverde and Bullis County Park and the pictures cover those areas.
You can probably tell that I'm a beginner when it comes to taking pictures. I'm working on learning to take a good picture, but I'm not there yet. Composition is what I'm spending my time on now. Later I'll work more on the technical aspects of using the camera, but for now I'm trying to learn to take pictures of interesting things. That doesn't sound like a hard thing to do, but for me it is. Hopefully I'll get better at this as I go along.
Enjoy!

Site Updates
I just uploaded some miscellaneous updates. These include:
Next up will be maps for Government Canyon and Bulverde/Bullis Park. After that I'm going to do the new linear creekways in San Antonio. I'm really looking forward to doing those.
In the near future I'm going to do some more extensive elevation analysis to try to give meaningful degree of difficulty ratings to these rides. Experienced cyclists don't need this so much, but I think the beginners could really make use of it. My wife keeps asking for it, so I'm using her as my gauge.
Enjoy!
- updated front page layout
- old rides moved to their own page
- new page for local shops
- new page for local clubs
- new page for privacy policy
- social networking logos added
- removed history
- off-route distance removed for stops & POIs
- help pages added for rest of map tabs
- other small tweaks and fixes

Logos And Photos Are Here
Logos and photos are now live on the site. This took a lot longer than I expected, but they're up now. I'm trying to put the logo on everything associated with SABikeRides, like the blog, Twitter, Flickr, Facebook group, etc... I hope everyone likes it. The photos have already been up on Flickr, but now I've put a signature photo on each ride and added links to the relevant sets on Flickr. This should make it easier to find pictures of a ride when you're checking it out. Not all rides have photos yet, but eventually I'm hoping that they all will.
For the rest of the week I'm working on polishing the site and adding some new features. Next week I'll get back to adding more maps. I've got some Bulverde and Bullis Park maps queued up, and Government Canyon should be coming soon as well. After those are done, I'm going to (finally) get to work on maps of the linear creekways in San Antonio. Those should be good family rides.
Enjoy!

Po-Po's Maps Are Up
I finally finished the Po-Po's maps I've been working on for the last few days. They came out pretty good (I think). There are three maps: short loops, through Center Point, and through Luckenbach. There are also some photos of these rides here.
These are the last maps I'm going to do for a week or two. My list of new features and bug fixes has gotten long again, so I'm going to attend to that. When I do get to new maps again, I'm planning on doing rides from Bulverde, Bullis Park, Government Canyon, and the linear parks around town.
Stay tuned, and enjoy!
